Fresh from the “Ada Owerri” onslaught on the radio airwaves over the past two months, with the likes of Beat FM, Rhythm FM, Abuja’s Hot FM and Love FM, Warri’s Crown FM and a list of other radio stations adding it to their playlists plus massive support from Nigeria’s online taste-makers, fast-rising Nigerian Pop sensation KIN is proud to debut his brand new music video for his buzzing single “Ada Owerri”.
Shot on location in Birmingham the beta-world city and Wolverhampton, and directed by UK film maker Charles Bonja, the “Ada Owerri” visuals see KIN captivated by the “Ada Owerri” he meets at the mall and subsequently, doing all he can to woo his leading lady, keeping in harmony with the inspiration behind the single, mirroring lyrics like “Ada Owerri”, my one and only / I go carry you go see my Mama Ada / I go follow you go see your Papa Ada”.
“Ada means first daughter and it’s always a proud moment when a first daughter of any family finds someone they love to settle down with. This song is for all the beautiful Ada’s out there who have found their soul mate”. – KIN
Regarding as one of the finer Nigerian songs to be released in 2014 so far, “Ada Owerri” – backed by lush drums, distinct piano organs and carrying a distinct indigenous flavor in its lyrics and glorious melody – is a strong statement of intent from KIN and with the momentum behind “Ada Owerri” not relenting anytime soon, KIN is fully living up to his “One to Watch for 2014” label.
