The gang that kidnaped Dr. S.M.C Maduagwu, the Chief Accountant of Plantgeria Limited, an oil firm based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, in February 2018 and collected N20 million ransom, has been busted.
His abduction was orchestrated by his driver Uchechukwu Ibekwe, who gave out information to Nwobodo Uchechukwu, Tony Rafael; Nnaji Romanus; Nwobodo Uche and Christian Nkemjika a.k.a School Boy.
However, after the operation, the gang leader, School Boy, became greedy and only declared N10m. Uchechukwu later masterminded his beheading after he got to know that N20m was actually collected.
According to Ibekwe, 37, he planned the abduction of Maduagwu because he refused to grant him a salary advance.
He explained that when he requested for the salary advance, Maduagwu shouted at him. Ibekwe, who is married with three children, said that he was embarrassed and angered, thus he plotted how to get even with his boss.
