Everton FC, also known as the Toffees, is a popular England club that has played in the top football division for over 100 seasons. The club is third in this season’s table with nine points. Soccer fans can bet on Everton at Betway in this season’s EFL Cup and FA Cup. The club was at the top of the league table last weekend. Read on to learn more about the EPL day of high drama.

  1. West Bromwich vs Chelsea

Callum Robinson started the scoring spree in the fourth minute at the Hawthorns. Thiago Silva failed to intercept a pass and allowed Callum to score again 21 minutes later. The player made a spectacular finish that dazzled many spectators. Kyle Bartley scored the third goal for West Brom in the 27th minute. None of Frank Lampard’s players marked him at the far post. The manager got infuriated and replaced Mateo Kovacic and Marcos Alonso during the break.

Mason Mount made a long strike in the 54th minute and scored the first goal for Chelsea. Sixteen minutes later, Callum Hudson-Odoi made an amazing finish and scored the second goal. Abraham scored the equalizer in stoppage time.

  1. Crystal Palace vs Everton

Everton is among the top four English Premier League clubs this season. They played Crystal Palace on September 26, 2020. Dominic Calvert-Lewin gave Everton an early lead in the 10th minute. He has scored five goals this season.

A video check by VAR earned Everton a penalty a few minutes to halftime. Roy Hodgson blamed the VAR decision for his team’s loss. He stated that the referee didn’t think Joel Ward’s contact with the ball was a handball. The Crystal Palace manager termed Everton’s win as being unacceptable.

  1. Brighton & Hove Albion vs Manchester United

Neal Maupay scored a penalty in the 40th minute after Bruno Fernandes hit Tariq Lamptey. But, Lewis Dunk scored an own-goal after several minutes. The referee overturned a penalty decision for the Red Devils and disallowed two goals. Some of Brighton’s shots hit the goalposts thus denying them an equalizer.

Marcus Rashford was determined to maintain Manchester United’s lead. Solly March netted in a header in injury time. By then, the referee had blown the full-time whistle. Maupay made a handball while defending Harry Maguire’s header hence prompting VAR to request a video check. It earned Manchester United a last-minute penalty which Fernandes scored.

  1. Burnley vs Southampton

Southampton had a shaky start this season. Danny Ings scored the winning goal for the club last Saturday when they played Burnley. The striker made his former team lose at home ground. He was the second top goalscorer in the 2019/2020 EPL season with 22 goals. He has scored three goals so far in this campaign.

Everton and Crystal Palace started this league season on a high note. The Toffees haven’t lost in their last seven consecutive visits to Selhurst Park. Of these, five games ended in a draw. Last weekend, Betway gave Crystal Palace high odds of defeating Everton. But, Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored for the Toffees and helped them win the match.
