Argentina football team led by Lionel Messi started up their World Cup campaign with a trip to Russia on The Rolling Stones’ private jet. Messi will be hoping for a little more satisfaction from this year’s tournament after Argentina were beaten in 2014 final by Germany.
“Argentina is already in Russia. Countdown to the most important football event in the world!” the team, which will be based at the Bronnitsy training centre in the Moscow region, wrote on Twitter.
Alongside Messi, coach Jorge Sampaoli has Gonzalo Higuain, Angel Di Maria, Sergio Aguero, Paulo Dybala and Cristian Pavon to choose from.
The World Cup will take place in Russia from June 14 to July 15. Argentina is set to play with Iceland, Croatia and Nigeria in Group D.
